Final Product

Final Board: G10w City

This is the final production of my neon city, this piece of work took the most amount of time, as I wanted this to be the center piece of my project. I was really happy with how this turned out, considering I thought I would have major issues with my perspective, causing my project to lose quality. Once I established the proportions much more clearly, using a block-out design rather than a grid, this was much easier when creating a sketch-out for the base production. I also realized that the fog was too extreme, so I lowered the opacity of this quite drastically just so the floor looked as if it had some depth, rather than being subsided by a vast amount of fog.

Final Board: Cyberpunk Guns

For my second concept board, I created a set of science fiction guns, as I wanted to create a set of futuristic weapons in the theme of Cyberpunk. I was quite proud of the background that I created using a range of motion and Gaussian blurs, as this brought out the colours much more than just a simple background tone. I stuck to using vapor-wave colour schemes, such as blues, pinks, greens and purples, as these are traditionally used in neon light sources.

Final Board: Cyberpunk Swords

Moving on from this, I followed the same theme of weapons by creating two sword designs using a  photo-bashing technique. I wanted to keep these quite eccentric, for both the style and the colour scheme as futuristic-type weaponry like to exaggerate their proportions and shapes. One issue that I came across during this process, was the glowing effect, as this was too bold in some of the designs, which was hard to rectify as I changed the colours using hue and saturation; meaning to fix this issue I would have to go back and redo my first concept.

Final Board: Cyberpunk Warhammers

Finally, my warhammers took the least amount of time to create, as I didn’t have much time left to complete this board. The reason for this, was because I had to redesign this product so it fitted in with the style of the rest of my concepts. My original design was quite limited in shape, and the colours were very simple meaning I wasn’t able to add much light and dark contrast. Additionally to this, I believe I amplified the glow too much, making this seem unrealistic. I was quite happy with this board considering the issues, specifically with the colours I used on the background, which blended much more nicely than initially.
